Archives and Research

The Historical Commission maintains extensive archives of important documents, photographs and other information on the history of Walker County at its office at the Walker County Annex, 301 Sam Houston Ave, Room 22, Huntsville, Texas.

If you are interested in doing research in our archives, please send us a message or call the office at (936) 435-2497 afternoons. The Commission can do limited local historical file research. Please contact us for details.
